"Actually I am better off than I was 4 years ago. The real estate/market crash didn't affect my assets at all. But then again, bottle deposits NEVER loose value! LOL!!" . . Love your sense of humor, I wish more people on here looked at things that way, a glass half full rather than half empty.

"Well, I would have rather he got us outa the two illegitimate wars the last guy started. And that he would have put more trust in American system of justice and have given the Gitmo prisoners their day in court. I think the world really needs to see that we're a nation of laws. But we have at least a watered down healthcare plan in the works, the military is well on its way to recognizing the value of all solders, no matter if Larry love Bill or Mary loves Jill. A sustainable energy model, financial reform with some teeth, better protection from predatory lending practices, I won't loose my house if I get cancer, an auto industry that didn't completely collapse, truth in lending, truth in insurance... Yea, I'm pretty happy! Thanks for asking! " . .Good response. Are you better off than you were 4 years ago? I know, other than the market crash, I'm NOT any worse, and that counts.

You wrote: What's going to happen to the batteries of electric cars when they wear out? (I'm sure there will be some huge tax to dispose of them.)". I had the same question, which I think is HUGE. I envision them winding up in landfills and contaminating ground water. It turns out that with (at least) the Prius, Toyota gives you $200 for the old battery and then they COMPLETELY recycle every single part of it. Hopefully EVERYONE will institute identical programs.

Great post on the "Ford to lay off 900" thread.

I really like the "repeal the child labor law" statement. Too many people blame the government for everything, and fail to recognize that all these safety and health laws are what are keeping this country livable.

Your hilarious. I suppose the sun will go way soon enough along with this enlightenment fad.

Good reply to the naysayers who can't envision new kinds of energy for cars like electricity.
